Bonis operates a compliance + orchestration substrate that sits beneath each of its rails. The compliance engine decides; the settlement rail executes. Bonis never custodies funds on any rail. The engine pattern is vertical-invariant by construction; today it runs across regulated firearms commerce and licensed cannabis marketplaces, and extends to healthcare-payment, legal-AI billing, and consumer surfaces as those rails activate.

What the substrate is

A decoupled compliance engine + rail-agnostic adapter pattern. The engine resolves the transaction against the controlling regulation and attaches the citation to the decision. The adapter routes the resulting settlement instruction to whatever rail the customer's policy selects. Bonis never holds funds, custodies tokens, or acts as a money transmitter on any rail.

Compliance engine
Citation-bound classification of every settlement instruction against the controlling federal, state, and (where applicable) local regulation.
Rail-agnostic adapter pattern
Same compliance decision routes a fiat-rail instruction or a regulated-stablecoin instruction with no engine change.
Audit-chain anchor
Knox cryptographic provenance for every decision and every settlement instruction; Bitcoin-checkpointed via OpenTimestamps when batches close.
No custody
Bonis does not hold funds, does not custody tokens, does not operate as a money transmitter on any rail. The substrate routes; the rail executes.
